Tony Fox - Craftsman, Artist & Owner

After well over 30 years working in the high-tech world, I am now able to concentrate on my passion for woodturning. I first got hooked on woodwork whilst at high school in England in the 1970's and started woodturning in the 1990's when I bought my first lathe. The bug has never left me. My current lathe from Laguna is much more powerful and allows me to turn a range of pieces from small to very large.

I source my materials locally and typically start with a fallen tree or a tree that has been felled by a local business or neighbor. From there my chainsaw gets to work creating 'green wood' blanks which I then turn to a rough shape on the lathe before setting them aside to season. This can take many months and as long as a year to get to the correct moisture content to turn into a final product. You have to be patient.

I make all sorts of items such as bowls, ornaments, holiday items and more. I love to experiment and try new ideas and techniques. You can click below to transfer to my Etsy shop where a selection of my products are for sale.

I hope you like them, but if you require something special then please contact me. I will always consider a custom request.
